(More customer reviews)The device works as expected, after inserting a 3.5 inch drive, format the drive, and the drive appear.You will then able to copy files to the drive.However, once you insert the drive, it is running at full speed and never stop until you turn the drive off.Hence, my review title 'use for backup only'.My original intent was to get a router with USB, plug this in and use it as a cheap NAS, but since it does not have a standby mode, I will have to opt for a 'real' external disk drive.
