(More customer reviews)I used this item to house an 80 GB SATA hard drive that was removed from my 2007 Macbook Pro. The drive was thought to have failed, and the folks at the Apple Genius Bar suggested I try buying an enclosure before spending hundreds of dollars on data recovery. So I ordered this enclosure. The drive fits inside it perfectly. I connected it to my laptop with only one of the 2 USB connectors and it powered up as well as mounted! So I was able recover all my data on my own at almost no cost. Perfect.
