When I finally received this item (almost a month after ordering), I installed a 2.5 inch hard drive and plugged it into my computer via the Provided USB cable. The computer recognized that something was plugged in, and I was able to hear the hard drive spool up. My computer confirmed that the device was installed properly. When I went to "My Computer", no removable storage device that resembled an external hard drive was found. After emailing eForCity several times, I discovered that you have to manually install a driver if you want to use this device on Windows 7. It can be found here:[...]
Yes, this product is a great price, but, if you can find another one for a similar price, get it instead.
