Transfer speed is very fast.

Simpletech advertises single click backup... well, if you use the enclosed backup software. There is no physical button on the drive, you click on the software backup button. A little misleading.
The software is O.K., but I uninstalled it. I am using it as drag-N-drop.

This unit powers from USB/USB 2.0 port. It will power and transfer data using 1 port, if you use the correct USB plug on the enclosed "Y" cable. Read the directions!

No need for a power adapter, but you can use one (not included).

This drive fits nicely in the CaseLogic Small External Hard Drive Case PHDC-1.
